Blizzard Brawl Guide
Added in Kingshot's August 2026 update, Blizzard Brawl is a fast, solo free-for-all event — a break from the alliance-coordination grind of Bear Hunt and KvK. Here's how scoring works and how to make the most of a short event window.
What Is Blizzard Brawl?
Blizzard Brawl is an irregular, two-day event that runs on its own schedule rather than every kingdom-cycle — check your event panel to see when it's live for your server. Unlike Bear Hunt or KvK, it's an individual event: you're competing against 9 other players in a short real-time match, not fighting alongside your alliance.
Each match lasts 10 minutes with 10 players in a free-for-all. Matches run inside daily matchmaking windows rather than being open all day, so timing matters more here than in most Kingshot events.
Matchmaking Windows
Blizzard Brawl runs four 2-hour matchmaking windows per day across the event's two-day duration. You can only queue into a match during an active window — outside of it, there's nothing to join.
How Scoring Works
Inside a match, you earn Blizzard Points from three sources:
- Controlling strongholds — map objectives that score points for whoever holds them. Contested strongholds are where most of the action (and most of the point swings) happens.
- Gathering Blizzard Crates — resource drops scattered across the match map. Low-risk points if you're not ready to fight for a stronghold yet.
- Tactical airdrop items — special items that drop mid-match and can swing a fight or secure a contested objective. Picking these up and using them well is often the difference between a top score and a mediocre one.
With 10 players and only 10 minutes on the clock, matches move fast. Early crate-gathering to build up resources, followed by a push on an under-defended stronghold once you have map awareness, tends to score more reliably than rushing a contested stronghold from the opening seconds.
Strategy Tips
- Queue near the start of a matchmaking window — arriving mid-window means less total match time available to you that day if you're trying to play multiple rounds.
- Don't ignore Blizzard Crates in favor of only fighting over strongholds — crate points are safer and add up over a 10-minute match.
- Save airdrop items for a contested moment rather than using them the instant you pick them up — timing an item well at a stronghold fight is worth more than using it in the open.
- Since this is solo (not alliance-scored), your own decision-making matters more here than in Bear Hunt or KvK — there's no rally to hide behind.
