Strategy: Alcar's Glorious Mark is unique — he becomes invulnerable and reduces nearby friendly squad damage taken by 70% for 2 seconds while healing himself. Strong for garrison defense and viable as a rally lead in mid-game. Replace with Triton or Long Fei when available, but don't under-invest in Alcar in the meantime if he's your best infantry option.
