How Avowed's Decision System Works

Avowed doesn't have a binary morality meter. What it tracks is reputation with individual factions — and these shift independently. A decision that raises Aedyr standing can simultaneously lower it with the Paradis or the Living Lands People. There is no "good" playthrough; there are playthroughs optimized for different endings.

A small number of decisions are hard locks — they permanently close questlines or change NPC availability. The vast majority are soft reputation shifts that accumulate over time. This guide focuses on the hard locks and the high-impact soft decisions.
